Interesting. I don't think the author was a registered participant. Do you think I should hunt them down and make them pay?

um
i'm kinda creeped that there was media present but under cover
i heart reporters. and i desire coverage, coz we rock
i am squicked when i think about not knowing who i might have been talking to
ETA: in fact, i've just called the paper and left a message for the editor.
mentioned i was a participant, that i enjoyed reading the article, that i was concerned the reporter did not making zieself known. pointed out that i would have welcomed the media with open arms, but this was technically going undercover. plus, might have been less than above board to not have paid a reg fee. was very clear that i am a member, not at all an official person.

Thanks for calling, Cicely. Please let me know what they say.
Nametags nametags nametags. Clearly we are way too big for me to just keep track of all the faces!

I also generally agree that media should announce/be public. I can say that I know the reporter and know that a.) he is queer b.) he is fat and c.) he is part of the group of people we would generally consider "our community." I'm not saying that to invalidate anyone's squicked-out-ed-ness at having had an unannounced media interloper just to offer some re-assurance that this person wasn't someone with any ill intentions.
